If you have tuned into any radio station over these past few weeks no doubt you’ll have heard John Lennon’s ‘Merry Christmas (War Is Over)’ being played at some point. Along with a few other ‘classics’ it’s always a popular tune this time of the year.
I just wonder though what the great man would think of the world today? Wars, famine, environmental disasters and financial meltdown don’t seem to have been eliminated since his death thirty years ago. I guess he’d say we’ve all been pretty lazy, careless or indifferent.
Fortunately that’s only one side of the coin. The other is characterized by organizations such as Emergency and Save the Children manned by living angels, operating in the best interests of the world as a whole.
The tasks facing these charitable outfits might seem impossible yet they know the cessation of pain comes down to a question of intention and choices, or as Lennon put it: “War is over if you want it.”
With these few words here today I know nothing is likely to change. However, I couldn’t let the opportunity to wish us all Peace on Earth go by and who knows, they might just perhaps cause a ripple somewhere over the rainbow.
Thanks for connecting here.
Brian.

We make a difference one person at a time. Change is coming. When we all stand together, we make mighty fine ripples! Wishing you peace Brian and heartfelt thanks for creating a place in which we can all connect.
Much love
Heather xx
Many thanks Heather for your kindness and presence here. Peace is always the answer.
Happy Holidays to you.
Brian.
Hi Brian, you too drew inspiration from Happy Christmas (war is over). While environmental disasters just “are”, the response to them as with the other items you have listed then come down to the choices and consciences of individuals, communities and countries. As Heather has suggested, we can change ourselves and if that change is positive and enlightening it will serve as a beacon to others… ripples, viral who knows. As Ghandi put it “We must be the change we wish to see in the world”. Brian, you are a shining light. I am happy that we have connected and I look forward to walking forward with you and creating more light!
Very best wishes
Rob
