When choosing our direction we have three key signposts available to us: love, heart and passion.
Love is an indicator, it expresses our connectivity with the objective we are considering. Whether concerning a professional or personal matter, the presence of love provides direction.
By following our heart, we tap into a wealth of feeling seldom experienced when rational thinking is referred to alone. Though the way suggested by the heart signpost may be challenging, it is one with the potential to define our days.
Choosing our path with passion energizes our actions and provides the spirit to overcome eventual obstacles encountered later.
Once we have considered the signposts and made our decision, the advice of the American author Ralph Marston can be worth recalling: “Have faith in yourself and in the direction you have chosen.”
If you are a regular reader of this blog, my reference today to love, heart and passion will not be a surprise to you. I believe these elements should be centre stage of all I do and – whether in my coaching, training or writing – am attempting to operate accordingly.
