Encountering a roundabout or traffic circle obliges us to make a choice. In a short space of time we need to decide our direction.
Provided we know our destination, this decision will be easy and can be executed without hesitation.
There can, however, be occasions the presence of a roundabout catches us out. In life such moments might occur just when we are already attempting to deal with other energy sapping issues. Being faced with something more on top of everything else can seem the last straw.
Certainly we will need to resolve the most immediate matter first, getting ourselves beyond the roundabout as it were. Thereafter, by pulling up and reassessing our situation we can evaluate the best way forward.
A few moments in quiet reflection can invariably be found if we choose to look for them. Our eventual decision will rarely be harmed by this minor delay, indeed in many cases it will be all the better for it.
As someone once said: “Progress has little to do with speed, but much to do with direction.”
