Curiosity is a curious thing. It can spur us on to figuratively peek over the wall defining our current position in life.
Whether we choose to engage in professional and personal development activities, begin a new hobby or just ponder where we are, curiosity keeps us on course.
And as we feed our curiosity, our perspective of life can change and, to quote Oliver Wendall Holmes, “The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size.”
Indeed, once we begin through curiosity to take more responsibility for the boundaries of our life it can often be difficult, uncomfortable even, to return to an existence defined according to the wishes or whims of others.
Supposed limits might turn out to be starting points rather than finishing lines for us. Or maybe not.
As ever, I’m curious to learn your input on the ideas reflected upon here. If you’d like to share your thoughts, please feel free to leave a comment below.
