Like many, I have experienced one or two relocations in my life. The challenge we face when handling such moves can weigh heavily against the excitement we might otherwise feel as regards a new beginning and so forth.
The mere idea of packing belongings into boxes and transferring them to another location is oftentimes enough to take the edge off being on the move.
That said, examining closely what it is we are actually thinking of boxing up to take with us – also our beliefs and attitudes if we wish – we might find the opportunity to free ourselves of certain items no longer valid for us.
Lugging around unnecessary baggage when on the move is not, perhaps, the best way to enjoy the changes the moment provides us. As Dr Spencer Johnson noted in his book Who moved my cheese? “Life moves on. And so should we.”
As ever, this is just one perspective. If you’d like to share your input on the issues raised, please leave a comment below. In any case, thanks for connecting here today.
