“Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby” – Langston Hughes, American poet.
Logically, rationally, we know all factors of any endeavour are rarely under our control all the time.
Though we may choose to believe we are the puppeteer or baton-wielding conductor, the unexpected and unwanted occurs.
Never mind the rain, what else is potentially beyond our influence?
We could consider the transport system delays just when being late is not an option we have. Or what about the probability of the person we need to contact being ‘out of office’, even though the missing piece of information is sitting on his or her desk?
What we can’t control or can’t change we perhaps needn’t worry too much about. And as a way of handling adversity, a ‘never mind the rain’ approach towards life can relieve us of some stress.
Well, even if it’s pouring down outside right now never mind the rain, your presence is much appreciated in any case. To join the conversation here, please feel free to leave a comment below.
