Reflections – whether regarding life, work or development – form the backbone of these blog postings, but you know that already.
The tone of the reflections, though not dictated by them, is influenced oftentimes by outside stimuli. Today, for example, my thoughts have been stirred by the picture here that was taken in a nearby park.
How, I wonder, would the leaves on the ground describe their time on the tree? Was it an exciting experience, worthwhile also for the growth of the whole tree? Did many benefit from their existence among the foliage? In what ways could they have done more given the opportunities afforded by nature?
Posing the question now is, of course, too late for the leaves. The proverbial clock cannot be turned back. If, on the other hand, we were to be asked the same things whilst still on the ‘tree of life’ how would we reply?
Reflections concerning ourselves can be useful to ensure our presence is not lost, playing small, amidst the masses. After all, each of us adds something special to the world in our unique way, don’t we?
If you’d like to share your reflections on such issues, please leave a comment below. In any case, thanks for reading this today.
