Taking where we are right now as the starting point, what do we imagine is on the other side of our subsequent efforts to develop ourselves further for the sake of living our potential?

Reflecting on the other side of our endeavours may fire up our enthusiasm to begin with the efforts we have identified to reach our goals. Though it is important to plan, to get to the other side of where we are, action is invariably needed too.

However, if we discover along the way our planning was not perfect, well we surely have the option of amending, modifying and doing what is needed to bring about acceptable changes to arrive at our destination.

Cultivating a ‘can do’ mindset additionally helps us towards our goals. This is often brought about by reflecting on past successes, peak performances in our past initiatives, to remind ourselves of our ability to ‘get results’.

The inevitable doubts and fears cropping up could be seen as signs we care about getting to the other side. Accordingly, they need not be pushed away, but rather welcomed for the element of learning they might hold for us.

And once we are on the other side, in a place we have strived to reach, let’s hope we find a moment to enjoy the pleasant feeling of success, before starting the next stage of our ongoing journey to keep being our best.
