It could be we are sailing along without thought to how we approach each day. If this is the case then the inquiry ‘Are you giving in or giving to the moment?’ would be a ‘bolt out of the blue’. Then again, you may be the type of person who is sensitive to the impact your presence has on those around you.
Taking the first section of the question ‘Are you giving in or giving to the moment?’, the aspect of ‘giving in’ or surrendering to the moment, our action is linked to our way of being as well as the situation we are facing.
As the saying goes: “We don’t need to fight every battle”. This is true especially at a challenging time when resources such as energy, patience and resolve are being tested to the limit.
Giving to the moment, the second section of the question ‘Are you giving in or giving to the moment?’, might suggest we are embracing whatever is before us. Ideally, we are offering our potential to ensure we are living the experience of the moment, whilst being an integral part of it.
Giving in or giving to, two positions seemly opposite in nature. Even so, ‘Are you giving in or giving to the moment?’ remains a question for us to answer, according to our own criteria and in the moment itself.
