Being our best or stepping aside?

Life offers us many choices: do this or that, go here or there. Yet one of the most difficult options we face revolves around the notion of whether we are ‘being our best or stepping aside?

Pondering if we are ‘being our best or stepping aside?’ puts us on the spot. We know when we are either giving our all and therefore ‘being our best’ – regardless of whether it is good enough for others – or stepping aside to let those who can give everything to the task do so.

Going through the motions is rarely a productive approach to life and certainly not one likely to lead us to the summit of our objectives. So, to what extent are we either being our best or stepping aside to focus on something else?
