Imagination is there to be used

June 6, 2019

Like all our abilities, imagination is there to be used. Whether we decide to tap into our personal, or even collective imagination, for the sake of reaching desired objectives is another matter.

At times it is easy to forget we have the capacity to explore situations beyond the immediate by using our imagination. When we are stressed, worried or tired, challenges take on an ‘all or nothing’ look. We see no room for anything other than what is before us. However, imagination is there to be used and it is up to us to use it.

Visualizing desired outcomes ahead of our intervention, using intuition to investigate alternative solutions plus meditating on how we are experiencing this present moment, are all methods of taking control of our attitude and approach to daily life. As imagination is there to be used too, it would be a shame not to include it in the list of tools and resources at our disposal.

To join the conversation regarding the ideas raised here, please leave a comment below. In the meantime, thanks for reading this ‘Imagination is there to be used’ post.

Resources

January 24, 2013

Slide

As humans we can connect to each other also by sharing thoughts, words and resources. Over these past few weeks you may have noticed the structure of this blog has been expanded. More pages have been added, including one entitled Resources.

Why? For some time I’ve been running coaching workshops on various themes. The workshops posted on the Resources page are concentrated versions retaining the core message of the longer offerings, each about five minutes in length. Sharing these fits with the aim of this blog: to provide a virtual space for thought and dialogue.

In a similar fashion to the in-person workshops, the mini workshops on the Resources page pose a series of questions. Pausing the videos in order to ponder the questions will make their viewing more beneficial.

If you’d like to share feedback about the current workshops, suggest topics for future postings on the Resources page, or perhaps feel now is the time to take up my offer of a free no obligation introductory coaching session via Skype (voice only or video call, whichever you prefer), please contact me.

Thanks for being here today.
