What are you waiting for?

February 9, 2020

One of the key questions I use with students and coaching clients is ‘What are you waiting for?

This inquiry requires an honest assessment, usually bringing to the surface issues involving focus and procrastination. Many people like to ‘wait for the perfect moment’ or ‘spend time gathering even more information’ before making a start’.

Additionally, the question ‘What are you waiting for?’ shines a light on whether we truly want to begin whatever it is we are saying we want to do.

Of course, initiating an action, endeavour, change of direction and so forth, can at times be tough. Nevertheless, once we have begun, so often we find ourselves, ‘six months down the line’ wishing we had started sooner.

Unfortunately, we are unable to rectify our delay in these cases yet at least we have the option of not repeating the mistake.

So, what are you waiting for? To explore your response as part of a coaching conversation, please get in contact.

Thanks, in any case, for reading this ‘What are you waiting for?’ post and if you wish, please like and share it.
